Job Responsibilities
- Read and interpret mechanical and plumbing construction drawings and cut sheets.
- Responsibly for reviewing and management of overall project schedule.
- Attendance of weekly meetings both with general contractor and/or DoD personnel.
- Host daily meetings with subcontractors/vendors working on site.
- Coordinate internal resources and third-parties/vendors for the execution of project.
- Tracking and documenting changes in scope.
- Daily management and quality control of subcontractors.
- Review of received materials & equipment against approved submittals.
- Completion of quality control inspections and daily work completed reports.
- Maintain and enforce safety regulations and building code requirements to ensure all work is performed in a safe manner.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project.
- First Aid / CPR Certified – Training provided by Kroeschell as required.
- OSHA 30 Certified – Training provided by Kroeschell as required.
- Typical jobsite work hours 6:00am to 4:00pm Mon-Fri
Experience/Education
- Prior experience with commercial/industrial mechanical and plumbing construction and/or project management.
- Associate or higher degree in engineering related program or equivalent trade/related experience preferred.
Hourly position, minimum expected hours of 6:00am to 2:30pm

Job Responsibilities
- Warehouse Logistics
- Loading/Unloading of trucking
- Packing/unpacking tool gang boxes
- General cleaning of warehouse
- Occasional trucking of tools/materials to local Chicago area jobsites.
- Snow removal for building parking lot and walkways
- Assist management with tool inventory and minor repairs
- Assist manage with annual Inventory of warehouse supplies
- Assist office staff with setup/tear down of office events and parties.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to learn to operate fork truck, with training provided as necessary by company.

Experience/Education
- Good knowledge of construction hand tools and equipment related to welding, pipe fitting, plumbing and electrical trades.
- Illinois Class B CDL License
- High school diploma or equivalent trade/related.
Possessing all the above skills/experience not necessary to apply. Will provide training for the right candidate who possesses ample drive, work ethic, and ability to learn necessary concepts/skills.
Under minimal supervision, conducts on-site pre-commissioning activities of building mechanical systems including QA/QC of installed systems, participation in system startups, review of programming, makes minor mechanical adjustments for optimal system performance and performs general servicing of control systems. Responsible for high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on site, customer interface. Properly completes required project and service documentation.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Provide on-site QA/QC of final installed mechanical systems to ensure field installation meets the requirements of the construction documents.
- Participate in major mechanical system startups with factory startup technicians to ensure new systems come online and operate as designed.
- Review of written sequences of operation and review of programming to ensure all aspects of written sequences have been properly implemented in the BAS.
- Diagnose and guide suggested repairs of complex control system malfunctions requiring extensive knowledge of a variety of digital controls systems and the ability to test and write modifications in control logic.
- Manages assigned work to meet professional and efficient execution of time and customer satisfaction. Reports problems or changes to management immediately.
- Provides sketches of field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections and drawings. May assist with job layouts and bid proposals on design/build projects.
- Communicates with customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction. Meets regularly with customer to become familiar with operating problems. Keeps customer informed on the nature of service provided, outstanding issues and recommends system enhancements, upgrades, and/or replacement.
- Trains the customer in control system operations. Delivers training manuals and documentation to the customer for training needs as required.
- Compiles job documentation, such as pre-commissioning field report, certificates of completion, customer training forms, training certificates and punch lists.
- Continuously conducts extensive self-study to improve and maintain technical proficiency in mechanical and various BAS systems. Completes certifications as required by Kroeschell.
- Programming of BAS systems supported by Kroeschell.
- Ethernet / IT network and computer troubleshooting.
- Customer/team members technical support.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining engineering, programming, and graphics libraries, procedures, and standards.
- Stay up to date on current and new technology involving the Building Automation industry.
- Travel to out of state jobsites for extended periods of time to see projects through critical path to completion.
Education:
Associates degree or higher in electronics, building mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field. Degree may be offset by five years’ experience in servicing building automation systems and/or mechanical systems.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with HVAC Programming.
- Niagara N4 and/or AX Certified
- Understands Niagara N4 & AX programming logic
- Experience in Niagara Networking Setup for Niagara Fox Protocol.
- Has installed and maintained multi-vendor sites
- Experience with LON, BACnet and Modbus
- Other proprietary Protocols would be beneficial
- Must have written control logic for one or more of the following manufacturers:
- Honeywell
- Alerton
- Johnson
- Andover
- Siemens
- Teletrol
- Circon
- Automated Logic
- KMC
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with HVAC Mechanical systems and equipment.
- Installation, troubleshooting and prior maintenance skills would be beneficial.
- Able to interpret control schematics and sequences
Skills & Other Requirements:
- Position requires a high amount of out of state travel to various Department of Defense locations. Candidate must have clean background and have the ability to gain base pass access.
- Strong ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.
- Must have experience in writing as well as demonstrated understanding of computer programs and software applications as related to the HVAC Industry.
- Ability to coordinate the work of others on multiple job sites
